Islamic and Indian Art
Photography of Islamic, Indian and South Asian art collections
I photograph Islamic and Indian art and decorative arts, including ceramics, metalwork, textiles, sculpture, jewellery and other historic objects from across the Islamic world and the Indian subcontinent.
The gallery includes a number of particularly notable works, including a massive Mamluk brass tray from Egypt or Syria dating to the mid-14th century, a rare Imperial Mughal pashmina carpet made in Northern India around 1650, and a South Indian bronze figure of Shiva Nataraja. The wider collection includes ceramics, metalwork, glass, sculpture, carpets and textiles, and other works of Islamic, Indian and South Asian art.
